Crafted for the discerning, sporty driver who seeks a saloon with a performance edge, the Panamera 4S is a marvel of design. Athletic and purely Porsche, it projects sleek and harmonious contours that you might normally expect on a two-seater. Continuing such gorgeous proportions, are rounded transitions, powerful muscles and a sharpened sports car silhouette to emphasise the precision of the new design.
And to underline its sporting prowess Panamera 4S offers a 2.9-litre twinturbo V6 engine delivering 324 kW (440 hp). Breathtaking as it is consummately enjoyable.
There are numerous systems on board the Panamera 4S that make every journey safer and more comfortable.
Systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Assist with Turn Assist, Lane Keeping Assist including traffic sign recognition and cornering notification. To name but a few.
Whilst Night View provides the driver with information even beyond the range of the headlights. An infrared camera detects pedestrians or large wildlife before they are illuminated by the headlights.
The sports car amongst saloon cars, the proportions of the Panamera 4S are undeniably Porsche. With clearly perceived rounded transitions, powerful muscles and a sharpened sports car silhouette emphasise the precision of the new design.
The wheelbase is 3 cm longer than that of the predecessor – the shorter overhang at the front and the longer overhang at the rear lend visual dynamism.
The interior has been completely restyled – and yet remains true to its Porsche DNA. Details such as the centre console ascending towards the front – and the elegant dashboard is shaped to be flat and purposefully wide. Altogether it offers plenty of room with plenty of comfort and innovations throughout.
Available for the very first time on Panamera models is the optional rear-axle steering. This ingenious technology enhances performance and everyday driveability of the car, and also offers a significant increase in performance too.
Translating the stunning drive force of the Panamera 4S twinturbo V6 is a newly developed 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK). This gives it the heart-stopping acceleration expected of such a sports car.
Also on board is the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which reduces vehicle body movement and in turn improves comfort in all four seats. Another system in play is the New Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) that registers the lateral inclination of the body created by cornering from the very outset and acts to suppress it.
