It’s a Porsche, it’s a plug-in hybrid – and it’s the most powerful Panamera ever made.
The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid is everything you’d expect from a Porsche, but as a nod to Porsche’s green car strategy, it combines its powerful fuel engine with two impressive electric motors.
Powering the new hybrid variant is the four-litre twin turbo V8 engine, combined with an 500kW/680 bhp electric motor. The result is short response times and outstanding power delivery.Even when it’s idle, the impressive Panamera Turbo offers an insane 850 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 192mph - remarkable for a plug-in hybrid weighing in at over two tonnes.
Performance, comfort, and efficiency come together in this model.
Featuring four driving modes, the car starts in the purely electric E-Power mode as standard, and can travel up to 50km completely emissions free.
Then, when a specific pressure point is passed in the accelerator pedal, or when the battery level drops below minimum, the Panamera cleverly switches to Hybrid Auto mode, combining both engines for ultimate efficiency.
For a momentary extra power surge, you can even opt for a sport plus or boost mode.
It may be a hybrid, but it’s like no hybrid you’ve ever seen.
Believed to be the most complex road-going Porsche ever engineered, the Panarema Hybrid offers a range of fantastic forward-thinking equipment as standard, including a dynamic LED light system, adaptive cruise control and much more – which can all be adapted further to suit the needs of the driver.
