Porsche Centre South London are delighted to announce the sponsorship of Esmee Hawkey as she competes in the GT Cup Championship during the 2017 season. The new 2018 season will see Esmee look at competing in the Carrera Cup Championship as she looks to progress from racing in the GT Cup Championship. Her latest success was at Brighton Speed Trials where she placed 1st driving the Porsche 911 Turbo S supplied by Porsche GB. Chris Bulter, Centre Principal of Porsche Centre South London, said "We're delighted to be sponsoring Esmee as she continues to impress during the 17/18 racing season. She's an inspiration to young women competing in a male dominated sport and we're all behind her at Porsche Centre South London".
Esmee began her racing career as a cadet in Easykart between 2009 and 2012 where she finished an impressive 9th place as a junior. More success followed with a number of fastest laps, podium finishes and two outright wins. Based on these successes, in 2013 Esmee was awarded a place at the Ginetta Junior Scholarship where she went on to become a finalist. Following this success, Esmee wanted to progress into GT cars which led to her management team meeting with Porsche GB Motorsport at the race car show and the decision was made to race a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Esmee will be holding a Q&A session at the Bluewater pop-up shop in December - for further details please email firstname.lastname@example.org
