SMS - Terms and Conditions

ADP Dealer Services International provides an SMS text messaging services to us via their Service provision “ADP SMS Gateway”. Their program information is outlined below.

If you are receiving SMS text messages from us using this SMS service, it is because you have provided your mobile number to us and consented to the storage of this information in our dealer management system records for SMS based communicational use.

As the recipient of the SMS text message you have the option to opt out of receiving such SMS text messages in future, and the information on how to do so is detailed below.

For additional questions please contact your dealer who initiated the sending of the SMS.

When replying to an SMS sent through this system, always use the keyword provided by your dealer to ensure that the message is routed to the correct dealer.


ADP SMS Gateway Text Message Alerts.

To opt out, upon receiving an SMS from your dealer, text “JMGUK”+”STOP” to 81222. Message and data rates may apply. This will send a notification to the dealer requesting that you are removed from such SMS communications in future. The dealer should then action this request through amending your communication method preference in their dealer management system records. Alternatively you can call your dealer and request that they do this.

SMS text message Information

The SMS Gateway Service from ADP enables our dealerships to transmit SMS messages to our customers in the following scenarios;

  • Dealer based informational SMS text messages would typically originate when:
  • Service (Repair, MOT or Service) work has been completed and your vehicle is ready to collect.
  • Your parts order is now in stock and is ready for collection.
  • Booking confirmation / reminders to inform you that your vehicle is booked in for a future date.
  • Adhoc messages which the Aftersales department may feel necessary to communicate to you in relation to your vehicle.
  • Dealer events or promotions are present or approaching, and records show that you are eligible
  • Message frequency depends on your vehicle frequency and activity relating to the dealer.

If you have previously opted-out of receiving SMS text messages from your dealer and now wish to opt-in you will need to contact your dealer direct and request your information is reinstated on their dealer management system to enable future SMS notifications. To opt-out again in future please follow the guidance above.
