The ŠKODA Octavia range is now available with two new trim levels: SE Sport and SE Technology. Both add significant equipment boosts over the standard model, with sportier designs and the latest in-car technology.
We’ve got all the details of the new Octavia models, available from ŠKODA dealerships now.
This new trim level is available in hatch saloon and estate form and comes with two engine options: 1.4 TSI 150PS and 1.6 TDI 110PS. And both models are available with DSG transmission.
Octavia SE Sport models have slicker, sportier styling, including 17-inch Denom alloy wheels, sports seats and a Super Sport multifunction steering wheel. The car also comes with bi-xenon headlights, LED rear lights and LED daytime running lights that have automatic activation.
Clever technology features include cruise control, an automatically dimming rearview mirror and a built-in Amundsen satellite navigation system with Wi-Fi.
Yet the ŠKODA Octavia SE Sport is priced from £19,990 OTR, which is a lot of extra equipment for just £950 above the price of a standard model. The full value of the add-ons amounts to £3,150 when purchased individually.
The SE Technology trim level is available in hatch saloon and estate forms and comes with four TDI diesel engine options, with power outputs ranging from 110PS to 150PS. And DSG automatic transmission is an option on the 1.6L TDI 110PS engine.
The SE Technology trim is also available on the economic GreenLine III engine, which offers incredible fuel economy of up to 80.7 MPG and CO2 emissions of 90g/km on the combined cycle.
SE Technology models come with a wealth of extra equipment, including a built-in Amundsen satellite navigation system with Wi-Fi, front and rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control (though only standard cruise control on the GreenLine III model).
Other equipment includes a chrome pack, four-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a double-sided boot floor covering that has light and rain sensors.
The SE Technology trim is designed to replace the current SE Business model and delivers great value to company car drivers. The increased specification costs only £275 more than the outgoing model, yet it delivers extras that would cost £1,830 to add to a standard trim.
This means that company car drivers will benefit from savings to BiK (benefits-in-kind) payments when compared to buying the SE Business model with the same technology add-ons. Drivers buying the 1.6L TDI 110PS model with the new SE Technology trim can save £177 a year in the 20% tax bracket, and £355 if they are in the 40% tax bracket.
