This Crafter police riot van will be creating a stir at this year’s CV Show.
The unique conversion is based on a Crafter Trendline with 2.0 TDI 177PS engine and long wheel base. It was built by Coleman Milne Specialist Vehicles in Wigan, a recognised emergency services conversion partner.
The body panels have been modified to add new side windows and the front windscreen has been replaced by a strong and flexible reinforced plastic that’s resistant to impact. The ‘unbreakable’ KASIGLAS® mar-protect material means the van doesn’t require a regular metal guard screen, helping to reduce weight and improve driver visibility.
The transformation also includes seating for seven people in the rear, alongside a half-width prison cell and a neat storage system for riot shields, helmets and other police equipment.
The van will go on display at this year’s CV Show before
being added to the Group’s fleet of emergency service demonstrators for police
forces to borrow and trial.
