Friday April 4 2014 marked the official launch of Jardine Motors Group's partnership with Whizz-Kidz, a UK-based charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children and young people by providing the vital mobility equipment and life skills they need to reach their full potential. To mark the event we held a Go Green Day at our dealerships and support offices across the country.
Go Green Day proved to be a great success and, with a full day of fundraising, the Group have already raised thousands towards our £150,000 target for 2014. Many of the dealerships held a dress down in green day, including wearing the official green Whizz-Kidz t-shirts, along with a selection of green onesies, green wigs and face paint. Other fundraising activities included cake sales, a bake off, static bike rides and waxing – for those brave enough to do it in public!
Some examples of the activities that took place across the business are below;
Liverpool Audi who had their very own Cliff Richard impersonator who sung and delighted customers and staff.
Jaguar Bradford's General Manager Chris Gardner ran the 17.2 miles from his home to the dealership.
Land Rover Welwyn Garden City had a visit from rugby player Mouritz Botha who donated his Saracens shirt to Whizz-Kidz.
Wolverhampton Audi, who launched their sponsored restoration project to get a 1980's Audi Coupe back on the road and driven all the way back to Ingolstadt in Germany – home of Audi HQ.
