Jardine Motors Group dealerships have taken part in over 200 events and activities to raise funds for our charitable partner, Whizz-Kidz, during 2014. The final figure for the year of 2014 has been announced, an impressive £258,559 has been raised during the first year of its Corporate Charity Partnership.
The impressive total was achieved through a wide variety of individual, dealership and company sponsored events including ‘Go Green Day’s to launch the partnership, dinner dances, sporting events and even a casino night. In addition a fully restored 1982 Porsche 911 SC was auctioned and raised £52,000 alone at the Whizz-Kidz Charity Ball.
Jardine Motors Group formed a charity partnership with Whizz-Kidz at the beginning of 2014. Whizz-Kidz is a UK based charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children by providing the vital equipment and life skills they need to reach their full potential.
At Jardine Motors Group we recognise that good business practice means having a social purpose as well as a business one. We operate across a number of locations in the UK and have a responsibility to the local communities in these areas. Through our partnership with Whizz-Kidz we will be able to help the lives of disabled children in these areas and beyond.
The YouTube clip below explains a little more about the Whizz-Kidz charity and why we feel the partnership is right for us.
To get our partnership started Jardine Motors Group have donated a Van to Whizz-Kidz to help transport disabled children and their equipment.
Wendy Williamson, Franchise Fleet Sales Manager at Jardine Motors Group hands over the van to Jonathan Richards, Field Engineer and Joanne Dunsford, Director of Fundraising at Whizz-Kidz.
Commenting on the donation, Joanne Dunsford said;
'We are incredibly grateful for Jardine's support which will transform the lives of disabled children and young people across the UK. Our fantastic new mobility van will make a tangible difference immediately – helping us to provide young people with their independence and freedom - at their convenience.
'Over the next three years we hope to raise enough to provide 75 kids with the right mobility equipment and training to fit their young lives – giving them the chance of a childhood and the opportunity to reach their potential. From all of us at Whizz-Kidz, thank you so much. We can't wait to get started together.'
