Design Instantly recognisable as a McLaren, the Artura is based on the latest McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The company’s function-driven design philosophy is expressed in superformed aluminium panels shrink-wrapped around the drivetrain and cockpit, its form created to optimise aerodynamic performance and manage airflow for cooling. The low ‘hammerhead’ nose and cab-forward, high-tail stance is pure supercar, the drama underlined by McLaren’s signature dihedral doors. Inside, the driver focused cockpit keeps switches and distractions to a minimum, while the driver can switch between driving modes without taking hands of the wheel.
Performance The 2025 Artura Coupe now develops a combined 700PS – a gain of 20PS - and a maximum powertrain torque of 720Nm, giving a 0-62mph time of just under three seconds. Zero to 124mph (200km/h) takes just 8.4 seconds and throttle response throughout the rev range is instantaneous, thanks to the E-motor’s transient torque of up to 225Nm. Other performance-related upgrades include new powertrain mounts to enhance dynamic agility and precision, a revised calibration for the transmission delivering 25% faster gearshifts, faster response rates for the Proactive Damping Control suspension system and new brake cooling ducts to improve thermal management.
Technology The minimalist cockpit puts essential information directly in the driver’s line of sight and features two high-definition screens running the latest McLaren infotainment and connectivity system (MIS II). Smartphone mirroring is now included while wireless charging is an optional feature (though you won’t want a loose phone flying around the cockpit on a track session). Four driving modes enable you to match the Artura’s drivetrain, assistance systems and suspension response to the situation, from Comfort to Sport and Track. The fourth mode, E-Mode, gives up to 21 miles of pure electric range for urban driving. A five-speaker McLaren Audio System is standard, but if you choose the Technology Pack, you’ll enjoy the acclaimed Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker surround sound audio system.
Safety / Features The McLaren MIS II system includes ADAS driver assistance features such as Lane Departure Warning (which many owners will be pleased to know can be switched off until manually reactivated) and Road Sign Recognition. Intelligent adaptive cruise control with switchable follow mode, auto high-beam assist, blindspot monitoring and rear cross-traffic detection are all optional features.
