The Bentley Continental gets a Monster makeover

A distinctive iteration of the Bentley Continental GT V8 S was revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the start of January this year. It is the result of a collaboration by Mulliner, the coach-building division of Bentley and Monster, a company best known for its audiovisual products.

A car manufacturer joining forces with an audio company is nothing new but this alliance has produced something quite different. Monster’s signature red and black colour scheme informs the car, from a red-trimmed grille and black alloy wheels to quilted red leather seats inside. The seats were produced especially for this GT V8 S by Mulliner.

‘Monster by Mulliner’ adorns the headrests and ‘Always lead, never follow’ – the audio company’s motto – can be found on door sills.

‘Pure Monster Sound’ is delivered by the Continental’s sound system, thanks to 3,400 watts of sonic power. Monster asserts that the system will deliver musical fidelity, whatever genre you like, but that it is particularly adept at handling hard rock, hip-hop and electronic dance music.

An added extra that comes with the car is a specific compartment for storing gold-plated 24K DJ wireless headphones.
