Toyota has created a new people carrier, the Proace Verso, which has been designed to reintroduce ultimate MPV flexibility to the marque’s model range.
A true MPV, the Proace Verso offers the choice of two wheelbase and three body lengths between 4.6 – 5.3 metres, as well as three seating format choices: Shuttle, Family and VIP.
With a carrying capacity of up to nine people - plus luggage - the Toyota Proace Verso is an unbelievably versatile, configurable creation, with a grading structure and specification to suit both family and business use.
Offering excellent all-round visibility and an elevated driving position, the Proace Verso is a joy to drive - and it boasts immense cabin space and three rows of seats.
The Proace Verso is very easy on the eye, with an understated design featuring tinted windows, coloured bumpers, chrome grille trim surround, fog lamps and opening tailgate glass.
With an array of intuitive equipment, including rail-mounted, sliding and removable second and third row seats with some model variants, the central row of seats can be turned around for a more sociable travelling configuration, plus a foldable table can be deployed for added comfort. The top specification boasts 17-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof, offering added refinement to the Proace Verso.
An ergonomic switchgear and minimalistic analogue dial instrumentation feature on the Proace Verso’s sleek dashboard, and highly-specified model variants boast high-quality inserts, metallic trim and premium upholstery.
The new Proace Verso has recently been awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test programme, so this Toyota creation can be trusted to keep vehicle occupants as well-protected as possible in the unfortunate event of an accident.
The state-of-the-art Toyota Safety Sense system is featured on the Proace Verso, a suite of active safety technologies designed by the manufacturer to help prevent or mitigate collisions across a wide variety of traffic scenarios.
Using radar and camera technology to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings, Safety Sense includes: Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Driver Attention Alert, Road Sign Assist and Intelligent Speed Adaptation, Adaptive Front Lighting and an Automatic High Beam system.
In addition to the comprehensive, state-of-the-art safety systems included, this impressive MPV also comes equipped with additional technological advancements to make everyday life that bit easier.
Toyota’s Start & Stop system technology will feature on the Proace Verso, enhancing efficiency to produce CO2 emissions as low as 135g/km. With five diesel powertrains available, with outputs varying from 94 to 177bhp, plus three transmission choices, the Proace Verso variants target best-in-class CO2 emissions.
Handy, space-saving, foot-operated, automatic sliding side doors open wide and offer easy entry and exit to the vehicle, especially when parking in tight spaces.
Infotainment doesn’t go amiss in the Proace Verso either, with top-of-the-range models boasting a centre console-mounted, full-colour multimedia touchscreen to make every journey enjoyable.
