In place of mpg numbers and g/km emission figures, Volkswagen Letchworth displayed figures of a different nature taking over the showroom. No talk of engine torque, the chat was about wardrobe essentials and the summer's latest colours.
Customers enjoyed viewing a range of the summer 2015 fashion collections from local boutiques in the Hitchin area, all clothing was modelled by staff who shared the catwalk with some of the team’s children who made their catwalk debut.
Local boutiques included; Rubarb Hitchin, Maysons HitchinMaysons Hitchin, Rositta Lollipop, Hawkins of Hitchin and Olly and Molly. You can view all of the photos from the event on the Volkswagen Letchworth Facebook page.
Whilst the fabulous models were having a break from all the pouting and strutting, a Charity Auction was held to raise money for Jardine Motors Groups’ Corporate Charity partner Whizz-Kidz, a UK based charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children by providing the vital equipment and life skills they need to reach their full potential. Lots of great prizes were auctioned off, top prizes were; UK Weekend Trip, £200 worth of Volkswagen Accessories, One Full Valet per month for one year, Wicked Theatre trip and Dinner and a One night stay at Letchworth Hall. A fantastic amount was raised for Whizz-Kidz, the end of the night total from the auction and guests’ generosity in the collection pots was £911.59.
Speaking about the success of the event, Volkswagen Letchworth’s Brand Manager, Emma Glass said,
“The whole event from start to finish was fantastic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you to the team for all their hard work and commitment. We have already been asked when we are doing our Winter Show!”
The night was a success for all involved; Volkswagen Letchworth would like to thank all of the staff and local boutiques who helped to make the evening enjoyable for all of the guests.
