Another welcome addition to Volvo’s high-end offering, the new Volvo V90 estate was revealed in mid-February in Stockholm and made its first public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show. It joins its peers, the S90 and the XC90 SUV, which also have premium design and sit within the SPA platform.

There are other similarities too – such as the LED headlamps and oblong central grille. However, the rear design of the V90 is sleek and swooping, giving it a clean and luxurious feel.

The interior is modern and minimalistic and packed full of Volvo’s unique technology, including smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and a Bowers & Wilkins stereo system.

In keeping with Volvo’s mission to make driving safer, there are lots of optional safety features available, such as a blind spot monitor, rear collision warning, cross traffic alert, a 360-degree parking camera and Park Assist Pilot software.

Under the bonnet you’ll find an impressive choice of petrol and diesel Drive-E turbocharged four-cylinder engines, with 0-62mph times ranging from 5.2 to 8.5 seconds.
