The EU has developed a new test to measure fuel consumption and CO₂ figures called the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). Official fuel consumption in mpg for the BMW 2 Series range is between 32.5 mpg and 188.3 mpg and CO₂ emission figures range between 36g/km and 199g/km.
