As one of the oldest and most renowned trophies in international sport, established in 1851, the America’s Cup is an esteemed event, and the run up to the main race in 2017 is both thrilling and intense.

The most recent chapter in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series took place from Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th July 2016 in Portsmouth, with BMW returning as ‘Global Partner’ of the event organiser, the America’s Cup Event Authority (ACEA). On the 35th occasion of the America’s Cup, BMW is also supporting Oracle Team USA as Technology Partner.

This World Series has already seen races take place in Muscat, Oman (28th – 29th February), New York, USA (6th – 8th May), Chicago, USA (10th – 12th June) and Portsmouth (22nd – 24th July). The final stop of the first stage of the America’s Cup competition will be in Toulon, France, on Saturday 10th – Sunday 11th September. Lancaster BMW Milton Keynes will be watching the race, with the defender and challengers going head-to-head once again - and we hope you will be tuning in too!
