Unfold the road ahead with the new BMW Z4 M40i First Edition

It’s over 80 years since the very first BMW roadster went on sale, the new BMW Z4 M40i First Edition has taken open-top driving pleasure to new heights.

Based on the BMW Concept Z4 presented in 2017, this exclusive model combines the sporting character of a roadster with the agility, precision and dynamic handling typical of BMW M Performance models. And what's more, it's limited to just 444 units worldwide, 45 of which will be coming to the UK.

The long bonnet, soft top roof and short overhangs define the characteristic roadster silhouette. Light and dark surfaces from the front to the rear also accentuate its profile.

Power and precision.

The BMW Z4 M40i First Edition accelerates from 0 to 62mph in a mere 4.6 seconds. With a new sports suspension with electronically controlled dampers, M Sport braking system and an electronically controlled M Sport differential in the rear axle transmission turn open-top driving pleasure into a sporting revelation.

The M TwinPower Turbo power unit in the new BMW Z4 M40i First Edition generates a staggering 340hp and a torque of 500Nm. In harmony with the 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the straight six-cylinder petrol engine elevates the driving experience in a matter of seconds.

A new era of roadster.

The new BMW Z4 M40i First Edition inspires with its sophisticated design and equipment features, including an exclusive and striking body paintwork in Frozen Orange metallic. This is combined with an electrically operated textile soft top in anthracite with silver effect, BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line, Black exterior mirror caps and 19-inch light alloy wheels boasting a bicolour, double-spoke design.

Together with the M-specific air inlets, Adaptive LED headlights with matrix function for the high beam and BMW kidney grille with mesh design give the illusion of extra width at the front.

BMW Head-Up Display and the BMW Live Cockpit Professional underpin the advanced status the tradition-steeped concept of a two-seater, open-top sports car has reached with the new BMW Z4 M40i First Edition.
