Safety

Initially implemented into the M6 to improve corner handling, the standard ABS braking system allows the M6 to stop comfortably and quickly whilst maintaining control. Meanwhile, the optional carbon-ceramic brakes take this to the next level allowing you to stop and turn on a dime. Stability control is also included to ensure that you do not take the car past its natural limits and that it stays firmly planted on the road. In the unfortunate event of an incident, the front, side, and knee airbags should help avoid bodily injury, whilst anti-whiplash head restraints also work to protect the neck. All in all, every step has been taken to help keep you safe both before and during a collision.

Design

The elongated body, sweeping contours and wonderfully sculpted front end give this car a sense of athleticism and agility. With its low, wide stance, the car appears ready to pounce at any moment. That urgent look is accentuated by the large air intakes that sit beneath the BMW's signature kidney grille. Further back from the curved wing mirrors and contoured carbon roof is the integrated spoiler lip, designed to add downforce at high speeds.

Step into the cabin of the M6 Coupé and you'll quickly spot the numerous motorsport-inspired styling points, from the ergonomic steering wheel to the optional M multifunction seats. All of the car's controls are within easy reach, and the model's head-up display will project critical information directly into your line of sight, so there's no need to break concentration.

Technology

Supporting the M TwinPower turbo V8 petrol engine is a seven-speed double-clutch transmission, offering quick and precise changes for maximum driving pleasure. Innovative technology features help you to make the most of the car's powerful engine. They include BMW's Active M Differential, which works to optimise traction and increase stability under acceleration and at high speeds.

Turn on Launch Control to enjoy maximum acceleration from a standing start, and rely on the car's Electronic Damper Control (EDC) system to deliver a comfortable ride when the road conditions become unpredictable

Performance

Capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in a little less than 4.2 seconds, the BMW M6 Coupé's motorsport genes soon become obvious when you get behind the wheel. Touch the responsive throttle and you'll be able to call upon 560bhp. Choose the optional Competition package and that increases to a huge 575bhp.
