For the second year running, we have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Place to Work’ category for the 2020 Retail Week awards. These awards recognise and celebrate those organisations that are making strides across the retail industry, both to improve their culture internally as well as to offer new and exciting experiences for their consumers.

This award is one of the most hotly contested categories and to be the only automotive representative shortlisted amongst many large, established organisations, including Amazon, Beaverbrooks, EE and Telefonica O2, is evidence of the progress we’re making to change perceptions of motor retail.

Over the last few years, we have made significant changes to the experience that we offer our colleagues, introducing our #Jobswagger campaign last year which is rooted within our core company values and showcases what it is like to work at Jardine Motors Group. We have further developed a whole suite of new benefits that we offer for colleagues, introducing everything from a virtual GP service to allowing individuals two paid days per year to work with a charity that is of importance to them.

Moreover, we have continued to challenge perceptions of the automotive industry, working with partner organisations to offer new opportunities to individuals who may have previously faced a variety of different barriers. This work has enabled us to create a more inclusive and diverse business which in turn, has supported our approach to innovation and collaboration.
