Ten colleagues take part in our Whizz-Kidz mentoring session

Our support for Whizz-Kidz extends far beyond fundraising and recently, ten colleagues met with young people from the Kidz Board to provide mentoring and advice to support them in realising and achieving their career ambitions.

The event featured some hugely engaging and interactive sessions including colleagues sharing letters to their 18-year-old self, as well as ‘speed mentoring’ sessions where the Kidz Board were able to spend time with each of our colleagues to find out more about their role and gain valuable advice to help them progress in their career of choice.

Widely across all industries, the young people expressed their frustration about a lack of opportunities due to their disability. Through our partnership with Whizz-Kidz, we are striving to challenge these standards and develop a culture that embraces inclusion and diversity.

Our team were hugely impressed by how focused the young people are despite the challenges and knock-backs they’ve faced and their determination to achieve their goals is inspirational, with individuals keen to pursue a career in everything from personal training to prosthetic engineering and corporate law.
