British businessman to take on top Mercedes US role

Adam Chamberlain, Mercedes-Benz’ current Sales Director for passenger cars, has landed a choice role with the company in the United States. Chamberlain will take on the role of Vice President of Sales in the US, a position that is effective from 1 April, 2016.

Chamberlain left Sheffield Hallam University with a BA in International Business to work for Volkswagen AG in 1994. He held several important management positions there before becoming the managing director for SEAT Ireland.

In 2013, Chamberlain joined Mercedes-Benz in his current role. Since then, Chamberlain has overseen sales growth in new, Approved Used and fleet vehicles. Chamberlain will be responsible to Dietmar Exler, whom he replaces. Exler has been promoted to the role of President and CEO for US operations.
