MINI John Cooper Works

Introduction

When you need muscle in a MINI, the John Cooper Works model will meet your requirements.

Boasting a big, powerful drive and bold styling, the John Cooper Works offers unrestrained driving pleasure.

A popular high-powered option for the modern MINI, the range delivers outstanding performance and is a joy to drive.

The new MINI John Cooper Works can be discovered in more detail and taken for a test drive at Jardine Motors Group across the UK today.

Safety

Fitted with everything you would expect from any other MINI to keep you safe, including the full complement of airbags, the John Cooper Works gives you peace of mind.

There’s plenty of grip and traction, and the clever traction control is of particular benefit on tight corners and in wet conditions.

What’s more, the car gets a firmer stability control setting, keeping the vehicle stable in all driving conditions.

Design

MINI’s John Cooper Works is dressed in a unique bodykit, flashing new-design 18-inch alloys and all-important extra badges. It also features a race-inspired chassis, meaning the JCW sits slightly lower to the ground than the other MINIs.

This gives it a real motorsport feel, set off by the throaty dual exhaust peeking its head out from beneath the rear bumper. Retaining much of the interior design of the rest of the MINI range, the John Cooper Works is as retro on the inside as it is sporty on the outside.

With great attention to detail, plus brilliant options such as bucket seats, this car really is a pleasure to drive.

Technology

The John Cooper Works’ real prowess lies beneath the bonnet. It is equipped with a highly-tuned version of the Cooper S edition’s fiery 1.6-litre engine, which has been so well tweaked by MINI’s team of engineers that it offers an astounding 231bhp.

Featuring MINI’s innovative Electronic Differential Lock system, the JCW delivers exceptional performance. The EDL replicates the function of a mechanical LSD by braking a spinning front wheel (if the traction control is turned off) to redistribute torque.

This ensures the powertrain can deliver the maximum power to the wheels with consistently high acceleration, no matter how you want to drive.
