The EU has developed a new test to measure fuel consumption and CO₂ figures called the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). Official fuel consumption in mpg for the New MINI Cooper range is between 42.2 mpg and 47.9 mpg and CO₂ emission figures range between 133g/km and 150g/km. Official consumption (combined) for the MINI Cooper Electric is between 4.2 − 4.5 mi/kWh. Values are provided for comparison only, to the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges and do not relate to an individual car or constitute part of the offer. Only compare equivalent electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, vehicle load (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge of the battery). Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters which may result in a change in fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions. Figures for battery electric vehicles were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. Figures quoted are subject to change due to ongoing approvals/changes and range figures may include options not available in the UK.
