DESIGN

Powerful design throughout underlines the vehicle’s extraordinary dynamism. The interior is no less sporty than the exterior, due in part to the new GT sports steering wheel featuring electric height and reach adjustment, a MODE switch with SPORT Response button and two gearshift paddles made from lightweight alloy. The 911 Turbo never gives in to being frivolous with every aspect of the interior focused on the driving experience. Each innovation has the effect of making the 911 Turbo very precise, focused and honed. The same applies to the cabriolet version too, with its lightweight and exceptionally stable fabric hood with supporting elements made of magnesium. These make the hood very robust and lightweight too. And importantly, it opens or closes in around 13 seconds – up to a speed of 31 mph.

PERFORMANCE

Powered by a twin-turbo 3.7-litre flat-six, the 911 Turbo boasts some remarkable numbers. It produces 572bhp and 750Nm of torque for a top speed of 199mph and a 0 – 60mph time of 2.8 seconds. The acceleration is addictive: getting from 50mph to 75mph takes just 1.7 seconds, not to mention it’s accompanied by a powerful exhaust noise. Porsche has equipped the 911 Turbo with four-wheel drive and an eight-speed PDK automatic gearbox as standard, as well as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). For even more agility, you can opt for the PASM Sport system which stiffens the suspension and drops the ride height by 10mm.

TECHNOLOGY

The technologically advanced 911 Turbo chassis has been engineered to enable smooth high-speed maneuverability, incredible stability, and corning agility. Enhanced Porsche Traction Management (PTM) is an essential feature of all 911 all-wheel drive models. The electronically controlled and fully variable multi-plate clutch distributes drive force between the permanently driven rear axle and the front axle even faster and more precisely than ever before. PTV Plus is also standard. The system actively enhances vehicle dynamics and stability and operates, in conjunction with an electronic rear differential lock, by varying the distribution of torque applied to the rear wheels.

SAFETY

Come rain, shine or low-grip road surfaces, PSM improves traction using the automatic brake differential (ABD) and anti-slip regulation (ASR). Together they create incredible stability and safety combined with exceptional agility. Optional upgrades include hydraulic active anti-roll stabilisation and a set of ceramic brakes, as well as driver assistance systems like adaptive cruise control and night vision.
