The latest Macan has received a small facelift with a new front spoiler and sportier rear with extended black diffuser. Sideblades come in a textured black colour and are given a new shape, whilst the SUV maintains a classic Porsche silhouette with a sloping roofline, dynamic proportions, and sportscar-inspired contours. Optional roof rails and a towbar system also blend into the dynamic design while offering added practicality. Inside, a higher seating position still feels sporty with a performance-focused cockpit, including a new steering wheel with gearshift paddles and the famous Porsche analogue clock fixed to the dashboard. The interior looks and feels plush with a leatherette and Sport-Tex trim, and there’s plenty of head and legroom in the 8-way comfort seats. The boot offers 488 litres of storage space, which extends to a roomy 1,503 litres with the rear seats folded down.

The Macan = sportscar performance in a premium SUV suit. A newly developed 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbo engine produces 261bhp and 400Nm of torque, which enables the Macan to reach 62mph from a standstill in 6.2 seconds (with the Sport Chrono Package) and max out at 144mph. Power is passed through a 7-speed PDK gearbox for fast gear shifts and distributed to all wheels with Porsche Traction Management. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus improves dynamics and stability, whilst off-road mode primes the car for maximum traction, improving driveability on loose surfaces. Add-ons include air suspension and the Sport Chrono Package, which enables an even sportier tuning of the chassis, engine, and transmission, as well as Launch Control, mode switch, and Sport Response.

A modern cockpit ensures all key controls are within reach, comprising an instrument cluster with hi-res 4.8” display and a centrally positioned rev counter derived from the iconic 911. The latest Porsche Communication Management system is displayed on a hi-res 10.9” touchscreen in the dashboard, which allows you to connect to your smartphone via Apple CarPlay. Other tech highlights include three-zone automatic climate control and the Sound Package Plus with 10 speakers. Meanwhile, the Porsche Connect app allows you to easily access your car’s key information such as its mileage or location, all from your smartphone.

The Macan comes with a range of safety features and driver assistance systems as standard, including ParkAssist, Lane Departure Warning, and cruise control. All models also feature Porsche Stability Management with ABS, ASR, ABD, MSR, and trailer stability management. To improve visibility, the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus optimises lighting on bending and turning roads. A reversing camera and more tech-enabled features such as adaptive cruise control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Change Assist are available as options.
