A 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine produces 325hp and, when combined with a 134hp electric motor, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition has a combined output of 459hp and 700Nm of torque. As a result, it can reach 62mph from a standstill in 4.4 seconds and maxes out at 174mph. A bigger 17.9kWh battery means the Panamera can achieve up to 35 miles of range on all electric power alone, and reach speeds up to 87mph. The 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition also comes with adaptive air suspension, an 8-speed PDK gearbox, and all-wheel drive with Porsche Traction Management.

The Platinum Edition Panamera is kitted out with an updated suite of tech, including a Bose Surround System, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and keyless entry and drive. The 4 E-Hybrid model also comes with a useful on-board 7.2kW charger. Typical of Porsche, the instrument cluster comprises two high res displays and a central rev counter with needles in acid green. A wide touchscreen is mounted centrally on the dashboard for infotainment as part of the latest Porsche Communication Management system. The Sport Chrono Package also comes as standard with a switch on the steering wheel for selecting driving modes: E-Power, Hybrid Auto, Sport, and Sport Plus.

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition comes with LED matrix headlights and exclusive design taillights, as well as a reversing camera, cruise control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Change Assist all as standard. For stopping power to match the instant acceleration of the hybrid powertrain, 6-piston aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers are fitted at the front, with 4-piston equivalents at the rear. No matter the weather, Porsche Stability Management (PSM) improves traction using the antilock braking system with extended brake functions, acting as a safety blanket when pushing the car’s performance limits.
