DESIGN

The Taycan Turbo breaks new ground whilst ensuring Porsche design traditions remain firmly intact. The fluid yet sharp silhouette incorporates Porsche’s iconic sloping roofline, leading to a thin light strip and glass-look logo at the rear. Its sleek appearance is amplified by features such as flush, automatically extended door handles and the 20” Taycan Turbo Aero Wheels. Inside, drivers enjoy a deep, sporty seating position in 14-way adjustable seats and a minimalist, clean cabin typical of a Porsche sportscar. The modern and sporty interior is made up of driver-oriented displays and ambient lighting can be equipped to match your driving style and mood. Owners can choose between sustainably treated OLEA club leather or a leather-free interior with high-quality Race-Tex, whilst the carpet and floormats are made of recycled materials.

PERFORMANCE

The Porsche Taycan Turbo offers seat-pinning acceleration thanks to an output of 680bhp of overboost (with Launch Control) and 850Nm of torque. This makes for some very impressive performance figures; the Taycan Turbo races from 0 – 62mph in just 3.2 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 162mph. Torque-vectoring four-wheel drive and Porsche Active Aerodynamics in the form of a three-stage rear spoiler system enables superior handling, whilst adaptive air suspension is also fitted as standard. Porsche’s 93.4kWh Performance Battery Plus is fitted alongside a dual-motor setup, and an 800-volt architecture allows for a rapid charge power of up to 270kW. This means you can charge the Taycan Turbo from 5% - 80% in around 23 minutes using maximum power. Porsche quotes a range of around 280 miles in the Turbo, aided by regenerative braking which can recuperate up to 90% of braking energy.

TECHNOLOGY

As expected, the Taycan Turbo is filled to the brim with state-of-the-art comfort and driver-focused technology. The Porsche Advanced Cockpit is made up of a range of intuitive screens; an innovative 16.8” curved display forms the instrument cluster, Porsche Communication Management is controlled via a 10.9” infotainment screen, and the 8.4” centre console panel acts as a charging display. A head-up display is also available. Optional Porsche Electric Sport Sound replaces the Taycan’s silent presence with a unique drive sound. Charging technology includes a Charging Planner which calculates the best route for your destination, considering your current charge status and required range, whilst the My Porsche App allows you to check range, charge status, and more from your smartphone.

SAFETY

As standard, the Taycan Turbo is equipped with four-point matrix LED headlights and the Porsche Dynamic Lighting System for optimum visibility. To match its breath-taking acceleration, Porsche Surface Coated Brakes combine a cast-iron brake disc with ceramic coating. But if that isn’t enough, you can opt for high performance Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes. The electric saloon also comes with a host of driver assistance systems including Lane Keeping Assist, cruise control, Warn and Brake Assist, and ParkAssist, as well as other advanced systems available upon request. Other safety features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with ABS and extended brake functions.
