Celebrating 2023

The year 2023 brought some important milestones, spectacular events and breathtaking new models.

911 Dakar

In the last months of 2022, we saw the release of the 911 Dakar a car designed to be as comfortable off-road as it is on the highway. The most striking differences include the ground clearance which is 50mm higher than the sports suspension on a 911 Carrera, as well as specially developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres to contribute to the off-road attributes, the 911 Dakar can also offer optional roof baskets and roof tent for all-terrain adventures. And in honour of the 1984 Paris Dakar winning the world rally an optional Rallye Design Package from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offering a two-tone paint in addition to rally stripes and the ‘Rough road’ livery. In 2023 we saw some of our first customer configurations come to life as we began to hand over customer orders.

Vision 357

In early January our 75th celebration began with a concept car that reflects everything of the Porsche DNA, paying homage to the first Porsche the 356 where our journey first began, the 357 adorns the shape and design of the 356 and the technology platform of the 718 GT4 RS. The design team created a vehicle visually that encapsulates everything about the Porsche DNA with concealed door openings, to the iconic 4-point lights giving an unmistakable feel and a nod to the first Porsche the vertical pattern rear grille was integrated along with a two-tone colour concept in Marble Grey and Grivelo Grey Metallic inspired by historic motorsport. Everything about this vehicle captures the pure essence of Porsche.

Cayenne

More luxury, more performance, the third in its generation.

To the office today, off-road, or on the racetrack tomorrow – the all new Cayenne offers driving pleasure on every terrain, paired with the design typical of a Porsche.

The all-new Cayenne has comprehensive changes to the powertrain and chassis to further increase performance on demanding terrain as well as a refined exterior design featuring a new front end combined with more strongly arched wings, a new bonnet, and technically appealing headlights that emphasises the vehicle’s width and three new colours are also available expanding the colour palette choices. The new Cayenne also embodies new innovative technologies including Matrix LED headlights from standard and a new redesigned cockpit including a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster with a so-called curved and free-standing design and variable display options creating a luxury and immerse experience when driving or riding as a passenger.

Ready to conquer the roads with unparalleled performance and sophistication.

Mission X

A vision into the future in mid-2023 we were introduced to spectacular interpretation of a lightweight hypercar, a high-performance electric vehicle with a vision of the future, with concepts and design elements from the 989, Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. The Mission X will set new standards for the development of futuristic vehicle concepts and reinterpret distinctive Porsche elements. Its motorsport DNA is unmistakable, just like its commitment to maximum e-performance.

75Y of Porsche

2023 was definitely a year to remember filled with celebrations for our 75th anniversary of Porsche. We came together as colleagues, customers and fans to celebrate this huge milestone, we dedicated events to the celebration including destination and Centre events, a time that brought our community together.

Reflecting on our year of celebrations we cast our minds back to the summer where Porsche headlined the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed event where we proposed the ‘Festival of Dreams’ showcase, a place for pursing a dream, big or small we encourage passion and courage to make those dreams come to life. At Goodwood we also presented some of our latest models and exciting concepts vehicles.

Our celebrations did stop there throughout the rest of 2023 our teams continued to create a buzz around the anniversary with campaigns both online and offline customers and fans were able to interact with.

911 S/T (Celebrating 60Y of 911) & 718 Spyder RS

This year we introduced two future icons to our model line-up, with the 911 S/T and 718 Spyder RS. Embodying 911 purism in the highest form, the 911 S/T was built to commemorate 60 Years of 911, while the 718 Spyder RS represents the crowning glory of the open-top ideal. Both sharing one thing above all: Ultimate driving pleasure.

Panamera

Our final release of the tear was definitely one to remember, the new Panamera a vehicle that encapsulates the true DNA of the Panamera a high-performance sportscar in the form of a luxury saloon, bringing high levels of driving comfort, with room for all the family.

The third generation of it's kind the new Panamera has a fresh and expressive design inside and out, on the exterior we have redesigned air intakes for the increased air requirement of the drive systems, a redesigned window line and flush outer edges at the rear window creating sleek and harmonious lines from the rear of the car. Moving inside we have a new cockpit concept that has the ideal balance of digital and analogue controls elements. Some of the most noticeable features include concepts taken from the Taycan and Cayenne where the gear selector has been moved to the right of the steering wheel making it easily accessible to the driver without the need to take their eyes of the road this also applies to the driving modes with the ease to change from Normal to Sport or Sport to Sport Plus, this allows the driver to be in complete control.
