SVO is the bespoke, high-performance arm of Jaguar Land Rover, operating from a purpose-built £20m technical centre in Warwickshire. Over 200 automotive specialists work there, creating one-off and limited-edition models to the highest standards of personalisation and performance.
The Range Rover Sport SVR is the fastest Land Rover ever. Powered by a 5.0 litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine, it develops 575hp and 700Nm of torque and can hit 60mph in 4.3 seconds. Performance enhancements include integrated air vents in the carbon fibre bonnet and large intakes in the bumper to maximise airflow. Inside, lightweight SVO Performance seats in Windsor leather feature an embossed SVR logo on the headrest. These are complemented by an exclusive steering wheel design and finishers in satin brushed aluminium, grand black or gloss carbon fibre. Lightweight wheels reduce unsprung weight, the suspension, damping and steering systems are retuned for high performance, and the two-stage active exhaust delivers a suitably throaty soundtrack.
The Range Rover SVAutobiography offers the ultimate in luxury, allied to the effortless power and refinement of a 565hp V8 Supercharged engine that delivers 700Nm of torque at 6,000-6,500rpm. The suspension has been tuned to match the additional performance potential of the drivetrain. The exterior is distinguished by SVAutobiography styling features like the Graphite Atlas front grille and side vent, while the wheels are 22" 5 Split-spoke alloys with diamond turned finish and dark grey contrast. Inside, the diamond-quilted upholstery and steel weave carbon-fibre trim convey a sense of sumptuous luxury; among the many additional features, the driver and passengers enjoy 24-way heated and cooled 'Hot-Stone' massage seats.
The Discovery SVX is a hardcore off-road version of the Discovery, featuring a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine tuned to 525PS and 625Nm of torque, and a reprogrammed eight-speed automatic transmission. Exterior design touches include LED lights on the roof and new front and rear bumpers with skid plates. The monocoque body has been raised, as has the all-round air suspension, which makes the SVX’s approach, departure and breakover angles better than a standard Discovery’s. Other chassis modifications include long-travel dampers and revised knuckles. A Hydraulic Active Roll Control system improves body control and wheel articulation for on-road driving, complementing Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 and All-Terrain Progress Control chassis technologies. All-terrain 275/55 R20 Goodyear Wrangler tyres are fitted to lightweight forged aluminium alloy wheels. The tyres’ extra side-wall height and more aggressive tread pattern improve grip on mud and performance on soft surfaces.
The elegant two-door design of the Range Rover SV Coupé follows in the footsteps of the original Range Rover, also a two-door, launched back in 1970. The Range Rover SV Coupé showcases an individual, modern design featuring frameless power close doors, a unique front grille and a lower coupé roofline providing a strong athletic stance for the vehicle. Just 999 examples will be built at SVO’s £20 million state-of-the-art facility in Warwickshire. The SV bespoke team will guide and assist clients seeking to personalise their vehicle throughout the creation process.
