Bentley Continental GT3-R

A grand tourer with a mighty engine, the Bentley Continental GT3R is one of the most performance-focused road cars that the manufacturer has ever produced.

At the same time, the peerless build quality and materials of its interior make it just as suited to more leisurely journeys as it is to track days or jaunts down clear rural roads.

The new Bentley GT3R can be discovered in more detail at Jardine Motors Group dealerships in Essex and Kent.

The pace and dynamic qualities of the GT3R is combined with stability. The low-set stance of the car, along with its 21" forged alloy wheels and ventilated-iron or carbon-ceramic disc brakes, work with a variety of traction control systems to prevent any loss of control, even when the car is pushed to its limits.

These include torque vectoring on the rear axle, to improve grip levels. In the event of a collision, moreover, the GT3R is well-protected by multiple airbags, as well as an FIA-approved steel roll cage and an on board fire extinguisher.

The circular lights and prominent matrix grille mark the GT3R out immediately as a Bentley; however, numerous aspects of the design make it abundantly clear that, even by the manufacturer's high standards, this is a vehicle built for speed and excitement. A low ride height and the judicious use of lightweight materials such as titanium (for the exhaust pipes) and carbon fibre (for the large rear spoiler), as well as the absence of rear seats, have made the vehicle 100kg lighter than a standard Continental V8 S model.Along with exquisite carbon fibre and knurled aluminium detailing, the cabin offers you body-hugging sports seats made from diamond-quilted Alcantara and Beluga hides. These supportive seats provide optimum comfort, adding to the soothing effect of the reinforced air suspension system, which delivers a firm yet refined ride.

The 4.0 litre, twin-turbo V8 engine of the GT3R is rear-mounted and linked to a finely calibrated eight-speed automatic transmission. Its 572bhp and 700Nm maximum torque at 1700rpm, in addition to the lightweight design of the vehicle, make the GT3R the quickest-accelerating Bentley road car ever. It reaches 60mph from a standing start in just 3.6 seconds, and can reach a theoretical top speed of up to 170mph.

The “Sports” option enables drivers to attain maximum performance easier. It lengthens the gearing, allowing the revs to build in a way more conducive to keen driving, and increases the volume of the V8 to heighten the exhilaration of the driver behind the wheel.
