Extend your range

Smart ideas - like recuperating energy when
braking to increase range - are built-in to your electric Audi. By recovering kineti
c energy from the wheel axles and converting it to an electric charge, you can help to recharge the battery.

Different Drive, Different Range

Your electric Audis can recuperate up to 30%
more energy through coasting or braking, which extends its range. Recuperation is more effective when driving in cities due to more breaking opportunities and lower air resistance.

Understanding your estimated range

Lots of things can affect the range of an electric battery, including driving style, outside temperature and systems like air conditioning. If your electric Audi is displaying full battery, but your range is not as expected, this is normal.

Smart batteries for smooth journeys

Audi has extensive expertise in high voltage battery technology. Audi batteries use lithium - ion technology, which are widely known to be the most advanced and reliable battery for daily use in electric cars.

  • Batteries designed to last
  • Easy to charge

Charging your Audi...

The electric revolution has arrived. Here is what you should know:

Easier than you think!
The average car spends about 80%* of the time parked at home.
During this time your electric vehicle could be charging.

Charging that has you covered
95% of car journeys in the UK are less than 25 miles^ so most of your
journeys could be covered by charging at home with a home wall box.

A growing network
For longer journeys, there are now thousands of public charging stations
across the UK with new ones being added every day.

Cheaper charging
With electricity currently around two-thirds cheaper** than petrol or diesel,
it could cost less than you think to top up your electric Audi.

How do I charge my Electric Car at home?

A wall box is the best way to charge your electric Audi at home. ‘Pod Point’ are Audi’s recommended and trusted home wall box supplier and one of the UK’s leading providers of electric vehicle charging.

Why install a home wall box?

  • Powers up three times faster than using a standard three-pin plug
  • Connects to all electric vehicles with a universal socket
  • App-enabled to make it easy for drivers to start charging
  • Wi-Fi built in allowing users to monitor, manage and report every charge and receive over-the-air software updates, and more
  • Durable and adaptable in internal or external environments, with industry-leading safety features
  • Features six metre direct current (DC) leakage detection and a unique Protective Earth Isolation System that ensures compliance with the latest regulatory requirements
  • One of the safest charge point products in the UK

Watch below (on the left) to see our very own Natasha Freed review the Audi e-tron. Here she gives her thoughts on going electric and what it's like to drive an fully electric vehicle!

On the right is a video that promotes the new EV&me app. This EV&me app helps customers understand if they would be better off going electric. It is designed to help customers overcome barriers to making the switch from an internal combustion engine (petrol or diesel-powered car) to an electric car, such as range anxiety and charging.

‡Free e-tron Charging Services (eCS) card includes £150 credit and is available to all new Audi e-tron, e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT and Q4 e-tron customers when purchasing between 01 July 2021 and 31 December 2021. £150 credit will give customers approximately 1,000 miles of free electricity (mileage range varies dependent on model). The Transitt tariff requires customers to sign up minimum 12 months e-tron Charging Service (eCS). eCS is a subscription service including monthly subscription charges and payments based on actual usage at participation charging stations. There are no subscription charges for customers purchasing a new Audi e-tron and registering for the Transit Tariff for the first 12 months and customers will pay only for actual usage on the basis of the applicable Audi or third party tariffs for charging. 1Switch your duel fuel home energy supply to Octopus Energy, or if you already have a dual fuel supply with Octopus Energy, you’ll be eligible for a £90 credit to your energy bill. This could be worth up to 5,000 miles of free driving. The credit shall be applied once the account is on supply and the first direct debit payment has been taken. ** According to UK Power, the average electricity cost is currently (January 2020) 14.37p/kWh

Official consumption (combined) for the Audi e-tron range is between 17.1 kWh/100 km and 27.8 kWh/100km. All vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. Figures shown are for comparability purposes; only compare equivalent electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, vehicle load (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge of the battery). Figures for battery electric vehicles were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. Zero emissions while driving. Figures quoted are subject to change due to ongoing approvals/changes and range figures may include options not available in the UK.
