A sophisticated spearhead - the New Audi Q3 Black Edition
As the Audi A4, A5, A6 and A7 Sportback have exhibited, popular Black Edition specification is the cream of the crop and offers many extra touches in the form of styling and equipment enhancements. Now it’s time for the Q3 to experience the very same treatment as part of a refreshed range.
The marque’s enduringly popular compact SUV is now available with Sport, S line Edition and Black Edition trim levels rather than the previously offered SE, S line Navigation and S line Plus specifications: entry-level now gains SD navigation as standard and styling upgrades; mid-range S line Edition offers cruise control, the Audi Parking System Plus and a more aggressive front end; and spearhead Black Edition provides you with an extensive specification, metallic paint as standard, privacy glass, a Bose® sound system upgrade and distinctive internal and external black styling treatment. 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels complete the look.
Standard equipment offered across the board now includes satellite navigation, Audi Music and Bluetooth interfaces, sensor control for parking, lighting and wiper function, dual-zone climate control and a Concert audio system with DAB radio linked to a 6.5-inch colour display. With Sport trim, enjoy Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights and upgrade to all-weather LED headlights and dynamic ‘scrolling’ rear indicators with S line Edition and Black Edition trim.
These impressive upgraded Audi vehicles are now available with two TDI and two TFSI engines depending on trim level selected. Engines can be paired with either manual or S tronic twin-clutch automatic transmission and are available with quattro® permanent all-wheel drive. The highest power output available is 184PS, economy of 62.8mpg can be achieved and CO2 emissions of as little as 117g/km.
But with Audi, it’s not all about the statistics – it’s about the experience, too. In the New Q3, enjoy composed agility that you wouldn’t expect in an SUV, as well as the ability to adjust throttle response thanks to the Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system, standard on all Q3 models. Simply sit back and enjoy the ride.
With space to comfortably seat up to five adults with space to spare, the Q3 is as practical as it is alluring. The impressive 420-litre load compartment can fit plenty of luggage for any adventure, and with S line Edition and Black Edition variants, powered tailgate operation means it’s accessible at the touch of a button. Fold the back seats to create a cavernous 1,325-litre load space.
