Ever wanted to drive an Audi… on the moon? It sounds like the stuff of fantasies, but now that fantasy can become a reality. Well, sort of. With the help of some virtual reality (VR) equipment you can drive a 1930s Auto Union Type D race car over the craters of the moon.
Since Audi began developing its VR in 2013 it has since improved upon its configurator, which now gives 90 frames per second and 20 milliseconds between movement and response with the object.
Put on the headset and find yourself immersed in a digital world where you can drive your dream car without actually having to go to the hassle of phoning around to find it. Plus, you can drive it with a backdrop of anywhere you like – the moon for example!
