Tottenham Hotspur’s Golden Cockerel arrived at the club’s new stadium in style thanks to the pulling power of the stunning, new Audi Q8.
The iconic sculpture weighs nearly a tonne and stands 4.5 metres tall, but it proved no problem for the sporty SUV, which delivered it to Spurs’ new home on a trailer.
Audi signed up with Tottenham Hotspur as the club’s official car partner and will have a strong presence both inside and outside the new Spurs stadium.The new Golden Cockerel is a scaled-up replica of Spurs original statue which sat at the top of the team’s old stadium. It will be positioned with its left wing facing towards the pitch to mimic Spurs’ crest and to maximise the visual exposure of the shiny sculpture from all angles, no matter where you are positioned within the bowl.
The original Golden Cockerels that were removed from the club’s previous stadium will also feature throughout the new stadium campus.
